Koshi Province, Nepal

Koshi Province holds world-class tourism assets, yet it captures a limited share of Nepal’s tourism value beyond the Everest base camp and climbing economy. Solimar is supporting Koshi Province through the Trail-Based Tourism Development Project, a joint initiative of the Government of Nepal, Koshi Province, local governments, and the Government of Switzerland through the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. Under TTDP, Solimar is working with the Koshi Province Ministry of Tourism, Forests and Environment to build the province’s first unified branding and marketing strategy. Because the ministry has limited capacity to run a full destination marketing and management organization, Solimar is also developing the AI Marketing Assist solution. This approach uses AI to operationalize the strategy through a consistent weekly content and distribution cadence, partner-ready toolkits, and structured workflows that reduce staff burden while building internal capability.
