The Solimar Travel Experience
The Solimar Travel Experience is the name of our travel agency in Washington DC. Located in the heart of Adams Morgan, Washington DC's most vibrant multicultural neighborhood, the Solimar Travel Experience offers travelers the opportunity to meet with a travel specialist and plan a customized trip in a relaxed setting.
Our street advertising is known throughout the neighborhood, famous for our grass carpet, wooden travel sign, palm trees, and daily trip ideas Ò our techniques communicate unique travel experiences to the thousands of potential travelers that pass by our office on a weekly basis. As soon as travelers step through our doors they ascend a stairwell with an underwater sea mural painted by a local artist. Our two resident dogs, Julius and Mate greet travelers at the door and accompany them to the couch where we show travel videos, photos, and virtual tours to help people plan their vacation. Our bookshelves are lined with our own guide books and photo albums from our own travels.
Often travelers visit the office when they return home to share their photos and provide feedback on their trip. We also hold regular events, screenings, and happy hours for our friends in the neighborhood to learn more about our new destinations.
