Solimar International is a small corporation made up of a team of focused, creative professionals who share the common vision of how sustainable tourism can be used to stimulate economic growth while conserving natural resources and cultural heritage.
Solimar takes an innovative approach to tourism development, integrating proven business solutions with years of collective experience in tourism consulting, creative services, marketing, and travel operations. Our aim is to transfer knowledge, business processes and market linkages to local entrepreneurs that in turn are able to pass on this knowledge to tourism MSMEs, improve industry cooperation, and create business linkages, all while improving destination market opportunities and growth.
What sets Solimar apart from other consulting firms is our commitment to the destinations and stakeholders after our assignment is finished. Solimar's model is designed to provide on-going support and knowledge management to the new businesses we help establish by connecting local operators with a global network of similar operators around the world.
Solimar's main office is located in Washington DC, at the center of the international development community and in the heart of Adams Morgan, one of the most diverse and multicultural neighborhoods of DC.
Over the years, Solimar identified global entrepreneurs and established joint ventures with a vision to grow the Solimar network. Today Solimar has offices in Buenos Aires, Chisinau, Honolulu, Paris, San Jose, Costa Rica, Sofia and Washington, DC. Our goal is to create a global network of operators that share our vision and willing to support local SMMEs while providing in-bound and out-bound travel services.
